# Add an Authorization Group to a page or folder

## How to add an Authorization Group to a page or folder

Create an Authorization Group and assign it to some users and pages/folders those users must access.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**Pages and folders inherit their parent folder's Authorization Group. Editors can't remove an Inherited Authorization Group from a page or folder.

To add an Authorization Group to a page or folder, take the following steps:

## How to check which folders and pages belong to an Authorization Group

To double-check all the pages and folder assigned to an Authorization Group, take the following actions:

1. Open the Permissions section
2. Select the Authorization Group
3. Select the *Pages and Folders*tab
4. Search for ‌pages and folders
5. Click the page or folder link to view/edit it
