This release delivers enhanced metadata shown on asset tiles via Media Lists.
Channel logos, lock icons, and badges are all now supported in DIVA’s Media Lists for videos and audio files. This development utilizes imagery to create more attractive, informative, clearer, and regulatory compliant asset tiles.
Media lists replace Video lists, offering support for the enhanced metadata detailed above.
Lock icon support
The display of lock icons helps App users easily identify whether or not content is available to them. DIVA Player now displays the lock icon on content that users are not entitled to watch. This visually signifies that content is not part of their subscription and, although the asset tile displays, content with a lock icon cannot be watched without the correct entitlements (signed in, subscribed, purchased, or rented).
Depending on how your service offers content, for example some content may be available to users who are subscribed but not registered. In this scenario, the ‘Sign in to watch’ CTA displays next to the lock icon. Users are returned to AXIS to subscribe to the service, or to buy/rent content.
Image badge support
This release improves our badging capabilities. Now, as well as displaying a text badge, asset tiles can display an image badge, for example, a channel or distributor logo. This addition makes asset tiles more dynamic and engaging and provides more flexibility and options for merchandising content within your service.
Pause ads through Streamlayer SDK

By integrating with the Streamlayer SDK, Pause ads are now available on DIVA.
Pause ads help to increase monetization and utilize the Player UI space in a non-intrusive manner, when the player is in the paused state. If the service is configured with Pause ads, when playback is paused, if a valid ad request is returned, users are shown an advertisement via an overlay at the side of the player.
Streamlayer Pause ads support reporting for ad displays, impressions, and clicks made as per the ad response.

Enhanced HEVC, HDR, and Dolby Atmos playback support

This release provides enhanced playback experiences with optimized support for HEVC, HDR, and Dolby Atmos.
This update introduces support for:
Server-side business logic that serves AVC streams in SDR and HEVC streams in HDR.
A DIVA Player UI toggle that lets users manually switch between SDR and HDR playback.
E-AC-3 Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) playback, including Dolby Atmos audio.
With this enhancement, playback can be optimized for each user’s device by automatically detecting and serving the most appropriate video streams and audio tracks. This helps deliver higher-quality HDR video with HEVC streams and immersive Dolby Atmos audio where supported.
Advanced integration may be required to enable all features, please reach out to the DIVA team for more information.
