# Create a post template

## How to save a blog post as a template

Editors can save a LIVE BLOGGING post as a template. This is useful when needing to easily and quickly create a blog post with multiple parts, for example, a blog with text and video content.

To save a blog post as a template, take the following steps:

1. 2. > **Note:** Saved templates include *post parts*, *tags, and* *properties*. Each of these only appears as tick boxes if they're added by editors to the post. Editors can choose whether to include *post parts,* *tags, and* *properties* as part of the template, too.

Open a saved template through the dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the *Post Creation Area*:

## How to set a default template

In the template list, over hover a template name to displays the heart icon: select the heart icon to make the template as default.

Once selected, the heart icon displays like in the screenshot below:

When creating a new post, LIVE BLOGGING automatically applies the default template.

> **Note:** *Default* and *Advertisement Post* are system templates; you cannot select them as favorites.

## How to delete a post template

In the templates list, hover over the template to delete and select the delete icon.
