2. Select the folder to which you want to add a new folder, then select the three dots icon near the folder: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/2e698e3c-4773-44a4-9476-1d05bac85eee/Images/Documentation/10916419338268.png)

3. Select *Add Folder*from the dropdown: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/2e698e3c-4773-44a4-9476-1d05bac85eee/Images/Documentation/10916456619548.png)

4. Specify the folder name**.** When doing this, you must:

- Use dashes to split words, e.g., 'deltatre-folder'
- Not use spaces
- Not use symbols or underscores

5. Select the *Create* button. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/2e698e3c-4773-44a4-9476-1d05bac85eee/Images/Documentation/10569880140956.png)

After creating your folder:

- Add a new child folder.
- Add a new child page.
- Add a new child menu.
- Add a child page called *Index*.

The Page Builder reminds you to do all this once you’ve made your folder: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/2e698e3c-4773-44a4-9476-1d05bac85eee/Images/Documentation/17948921545756.png)

Optionally, add variables to the created folder (see [Create a variable](/v1/docs/create-variables) for instructions about how to manage variables). All child folders and pages inherit variables.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**Folders/pages have three possible statuses, which appear as colored circles on the left of the folder/page name:
>
> - Red circle: Indicates that the folder/page is unpublished.
> - Orange circle: Indicates that the folder/page is published but there is a draft new version, which is still unpublished.
> - Green circle: Indicates that the folder/page is published.
