# Embedding YouTube videos

> [!NOTE]
> **Note:**This entity can be customized to fit bespoke needs. The fields described in this article may not coincide with the ones in your FORGE instance.

## Where do I find the YouTube videos?

In the menu on the left, select the *YouTube Videos* icon:

**Note:**The *YouTube Videos* icon can be in a different place because of the custom entities in your FORGE instance.

## What do I need to embed a YouTube video?

All you need to embed a YouTube video is its *Video Id*, which is part of the video URL:

## Managing the YouTube Video entity

When creating and managing a *YouTube Video* entity, the entity-specific fields are:

- **Description**: The video's description to display in the front-end.
- **Duration**: Filling the *Duration* field enables front-end business logic based on how long the video is.
- **Video Id**: The YouTube [video id](/v1/docs/embedding-youtube-videos#what-do-i-need-to-embed-a-youtube-video).

All other fields are in common with all entities. For example, see the [story entity](/v1/docs/editing-stories) as a reference.

## Translations

The *YouTube Video* entities follow [the language-independent workflow](/v1/docs/translations-with-language-independent-workflow). The entity fields and publishing status can be different for each language.

For example, a *YouTube Video* can embed a YouTube video Id for the English UK language and another video Id for the French language. Also, the English UK video can be published while the French one is unpublished.
