# FORGE Q4 '24

## Overview

With the 2024 Q4 release, the FORGE ecosystem provides:

- Editors with renewed photo, document, and custom entity editors, plus a modern overview page for tags.
- Producers with a easy way to add static images to pages without leaving Page Builder.

Let's get into some details:

---

## Content Manager

### New photo editor

Images are among the most engaging content. This latest version of FORGE provides editors with an improved photo editing experience.

Now the photo editor:

- Displays more photo data at a glance, making it easier to manage
- Aligns with the same modern UI of all the other revamped editors
- Refines the editorial experience when managing translations, replacing the image, and adjusting focus

For more information, read our article on [editing photos](/v1/docs/edit-and-tag-photos).

### New document editor

The latest version of FORGE introduces the new document editor, which:

- Displays more document data at a glance, improving document management
- Aligns with the same modern UI of all the other revamped editors
- Refines the editorial experience when managing translations and uploading files

For more information, read our article on [editing documents](/v1/docs/upload-and-manage-documents).

### New custom entity editor

Custom entities allow editorial teams to shape bespoke content. This latest version of FORGE provides editors with a renewed experience for editing custom entities.

Now the custom entity editor:

- Displays more custom entity's data at a glance, making it easier to manage it
- Aligns with the same modern UI of all the other revamped editors
- Can group and position fields meaningful for each custom entity type

For more information, read our article on [custom entities](/v1/docs/custom-entities).

### New tag overview page

Now, editors benefit from a redesigned overview page to manage tags. The main improvements are:

- Configurable columns and filters
- Powerful filters to search through tags
- Improved response times

Read the article on [searching entities](/v1/docs/searching-entities) for more information.

### In editorial selections, enriched autofill rules based on tags

In editorial selections, when autofill rules are tag-based, editors can select whether entities to add must match all tags in the rule or just at least one of them.

For more information, see our articles on [editorial selections](/v1/docs/create-and-manage-editorial-selections) (and [localized ones](/v1/docs/create-and-manage-localized-editorial-selections)).

## Small changes – but still important

### LIVE BLOGGING

- Blog configuration allows using formatting options in the Description field — See our article on [creating a new blog](/v1/docs/create-blog-posts).
- New fields enrich blog configuration: Short Title, Cover Image Caption and Copyright — See our article on [creating a new blog](/v1/docs/create-blog-posts).

### Page Builder

- Accessibility: We redesigned editorial statuses (unpublished, published, and reviewed) to be color-blind-friendly.
- When listing pages in a folder, the PageType — which declares the page's rendering engine — displays for each page.
- When editing folders, new shortcuts are available to create a new child folder, page, or menu.
