# Linking lists to menus

This article explains how to set up a menu item to link to a list.

#### How do I link to a list from a menu?

Linking out to a list from a menu item is as simple as entering the list's ID during menu configuration. When a user selects the menu item in their app, the list is displayed.

Navigate to the menu configuration area. To do this, select *DISPLAY*, followed by *Menus*.

> **Note:** You can link to lists from both primary menus and sub-menus.

1. Start by selecting the menu type you want to configure, from the left-hand navigation (*Header*, *Account*, or *Footer*.)
2. Next, select the required menu [variant.](/v1/docs/variants-and-segmentation)
3. Enter information into the relevant fields:
  - *enter label*: Specify a title for your menu item.
  - *enter destination*: Enter **/list/{id}**(this generates the *select list* field.)
  - *enter list*: Select the list you wish to display.

4. When you're done, select ![Save_and_Publish_button.png](https://cdn.document360.io/2e698e3c-4773-44a4-9476-1d05bac85eee/Images/Documentation/360014809039.png) to save changes.
