# Mentions of custom editorial entities

In this article, we cover how to promote content by mentioning editorial entities in a story.

## Mentions

Editors can mention custom entities by simply using the *@* in the text editor. See [Entity customization](/v1/docs/entity-customization) for more information on how to enable mentioning per entity.

The front-end renders the mentioned custom entity as a link.

For example, mention the player Jim Mij as shown in the example below:

When *Alpha is there!* is published, the front-end displays the mentioned player*Jim Mij* as a link to the detail of the player:
