Introduction
Modules are the page’s building blocks.
Pages display a mix of dynamic content (e.g., in landing pages) and static content (e.g., marketing content). FORGE provides modules for both.
Instead of creating pages from scratch, editors assemble reusable modules, each with a specific editorial role. Using modules consistently keeps pages clear, coherent, and easy to update over time.
For a detailed description of the out-of-the-box modules:
The Module parameters page introduces the parameter categories that allow configuring modules.
The Module list folder contains the detailed description of all modules.
Dynamic content
The Content Manager feeds dynamic content.
The following table lists the page main elements that render dynamic content and the modules that describe them:
Page element (e.g., in a landing page or in a detail page) | Editorial purpose | FORGE modules |
|---|---|---|
Hero with featured story or promotion and primary CTA | Show the most important story or promotion on the page and clearly tell users what to do next. Typically, heros are used on Homepages. | |
Latest editorials | Show that the site is up to date by highlighting the latest and most relevant news, galleries, and videos. | |
Standings summary (players and/or teams) | Let users quickly see who is winning, who is losing, and where teams or players stand right now. | Modules for selected sports are available upon request. |
Statistics | Give users a fast way to see key stats and encourage them to explore detailed numbers. | Modules for selected sports are available upon request. |
Media highlights (matches, clips, recaps) | Show recent action through videos and highlights for users who prefer watching instead of reading. | |
Media gateway tiles (entry points to videos/photos hubs) | Encourage users to explore videos and photo galleries without showing everything on the homepage. | |
Editorial series or long-form content promotion | Promote in-depth stories and special series that go beyond daily news and match results. | |
Broadcast / streaming partner promotion | Help users find where to watch matches and official content on approved platforms. | |
Commerce promotion (merchandise, kits) | Promote official products related to teams or stories and encourage fans to buy them. | |
Partner/sponsor logo strip | Show sponsors and partners in a clear, non-intrusive way. | |
Fan engagement sign-up/sign-in | Encourage users to stay in touch by signing up for updates or newsletters. | Either account modules or bespoke |
Story | Communicate stories, news, or analysis through structured narrative and context. | |
Video | Tell stories through motion and sound, capturing moments, emotion, and immediacy. | |
Album | Document events and moments visually, emphasizing presence and emotional resonance over explanation. |
Static content
Unlike dynamic content, editors craft static content in the Page Builder.
The following table lists modules describing static content:
Page element | Editorial purpose | FORGE modules |
|---|---|---|
Static text | Provide stable, authoritative information that explains rules, context, or intent without needing frequent updates. | |
Static image | Reinforce identity, tone, or atmosphere through a consistent visual without competing with dynamic editorial content. |
