This article introduces Multiview, formerly known as Side-by-Side view. Multiview replaces and builds on top of Side-by-side view functionality from DIVA 5.8 onwards.

What is Multiview?

Multiview enables DIVA users to manage multiple video playbacks simultaneously on compatible devices. Consume multiple streams at once, ensuring none of the action is missed. Control which video's audio is active to enhance the overall viewing experience.

Which devices support Multiview?

Multiview is currently available on Responsive web (desktop, mobile, and tablet) 5.8, Android (mobile and tablet), and Android TV 5.9.

Are there feature restrictions?

Yes, in Multiview mode, if configured, the following restrictions apply:

  • Goal alerts are paused

  • LiveLike is disabled

  • Skip interval is disabled

  • Multiview icon is unavailable if casting using Chromecast

  • Multiview icon is unavailable in Highlight's mode

Multiview analytics

Track Multiview user interactions such as video selections, audio switches, and video closures. Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) analytics are reported for each stream in Multiview.

See further details and examples below:
