Microcopy

In this article, we cover the FORGE app that manages the microcopy (UI copy) of the presentation: the Vocabulary Tool.

Overview

The front-end contains editorial content as well as labels and calls to action. The copy of the labels and calls to action display is known as microcopy.

Vocabularies

The FORGE Vocabulary Tool manages three types of terms:

• Words

• Combination of words

• Sentences

You can mix terms of these three types and group them into vocabulary.

Inside each vocabulary, you can assign a context to each term. It's particularly helpful when organizing the translation of the terms: assign different contexts to different translators.

Term translations

Each term can have multiple values, one per language.

Collaboration

On the bottom-right of the term details page, editors can leave comments that reach all active users and foster collaboration and organization.
