Note: This entity can be customized to fit bespoke needs. The fields described in this article may not coincide with the ones in your FORGE instance.

Where do I find the Event entities?

In the menu on the left, select the Event icon:

Note: The Events icon can be in a different place because of the custom entities in your FORGE instance.

Managing the Event entity

When creating and managing an Event entity, the entity-specific fields are:

  • Headline: A compelling title capturing the essence or highlight of the sports event.

  • Description: A brief overview or teaser of what the event is about and why it matters.

  • Date From: The official start date and time of the event or competition.

  • Date To: The end date and time when the event concludes.

  • eventLogo: Visual branding representing the event, team, or competition.

  • Venue: The stadium, arena, or location where the event will take place.

  • Buy Tickets URL: Link to purchase tickets or access booking information.

  • Display Text: Custom text shown to users in place of a full URL or label.

  • URL: Web address linking to detailed information about the event.

  • Facebook Profile: Link to the event's or organizer's official Facebook page.

  • Twitter Profile: The event’s or organizer’s Twitter/X handle for live updates and interaction.

  • Instagram Profile: Link to the event’s official Instagram account featuring visual content.

  • YouTube Channel: Channel hosting event highlights, live streams, or promotional videos.

  • Twitch Channel: The event’s Twitch streaming channel for live coverage or fan engagement.

Translations

Event entities follow the language-independent workflow. The entity fields and publishing status can be different for each language. 

For example, an Event can have different field values for the English UK language and for the French language. Also, the English UK event can be published while the French one is unpublished.
