Building a blog post

FORGE LIVE BLOGGING is where reporters create posts by combining text, visual, and structured parts into a live blog.

Producers assign live blogs to reporters. Each reporter enters the assigned blog and creates posts in FORGE LIVE BLOGGING:

On top of the text editor, available post parts display:

Post parts are the analogous of the editorial entities in FORGE Back Office: they are the building blocks of the posts. There are two built-in post parts:

  •   (Text Part): It contains a text

  •   (oEmbed Part): It embeds a web resource into the post

Custom Post Parts can be either coded (Post Parts) or defined through a dedicated section (No-Code Post Parts). See Set up external data sources and no-code post parts for more information about No-Code Post Parts).

Configuring a blog post

Reporters can assign tags to each post and define some properties:

  • Style: Position and highlighting of the post

  • Sponsored post: Assigning the sponsor of the post

  • Reporter: In case the post is about ‌a match between two teams, it sets whether the reporter is writing for the away or home team

  • Graphic Assets: Graphic assets that the reporter can add to the post
