Compatibility notes: This functionality is available from AXIS Presentation Manager 10.0 onwards.
We’ve introduce the ability to configure Image badges in AXIS Presentation Manager to display in the Apps, helping to make content more engaging and dynamic.
Image badges are available for all asset types except Links.
To configure image badges
Image badges are configured in Settings and Asset Metadata:
The images for image badges are not currently uploadable in Presentation Manager, instead, they are stored securely externally. Enter the location in ADMIN > Settings > System > Display in the Badge Image Base URL field.
Then, the name of the individual image is entered in the Badge Image field in the Badge section of Asset Metadata.

Note: If a Schedule has been added, this applies to the Text Badge as default. It only applies to the Image Badge if there is no Text Badge configured. It does not apply to both at once.
The following rows support Image badges:
Row type | Apps UX/UI |
|---|---|
Hero rows | |
Image badges display in the top-left of the Hero row above the asset title. When there are multiple badges configured, the order they display is: Image badge, Event status badge (for example, Live now), Text badge. If the image badge fails to load for any reason, no image displays. | |
Body rows | |
Image badges on body rows display in the bottom-right corner of the body row tile. Assets configured to display the title below the asset present the image badge in the bottom-right corner of the body row tile. Assets configured to display the title overlaying the asset present the image badge in the bottom-left corner of the body row tile, above the title overlay. If the image badge fails to load for any reason, no image displays. | |
