What is video casting?
Wireless casting provides the ability to enjoy live and video-on-demand (VOD) content on a large screen. DIVA supports the ability to wirelessly cast from personal iOS and Android devices, using Google Chrome. Cast to a second screen (TB), connected with a Chromecast HDMI dongle, or cast via AirPlay.
AirPlay specifics
Live, Live Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and video-on-demand (VOD) content is supported
While casting, data integration is supported
Deeplinking to the current point in the video when initiating casting is supported
Switching back to the last video cast position when casting is stopped is supported
To enjoy multi-angle clips and 360° videos while casting, the video must be in AirPlay mode (casting) before features are selected
Videos are automatically cast from their start point
While casting, pre-roll advertisements are not supported
AirPlay is stopped if DIVA is closed midway through casting
Chromecasting specifics
Live, Live Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and video-on-demand (VOD) content is supported
HLS (v3 and v4) and Dash video formats are supported
While casting, multi-angle clips can only be consumed on via the personal device
While casting, pre-roll advertisements are shown on the personal device
While casting, data integration is supported
