What is DIVA?

DIVA stands for Data Integrated Video Application. It's an advanced OTT, next-generation video player synchronizing real-time sport and entertainment data with rich interactivity, built around user engagement. DIVA provides users with an immersive experience, bringing fans as close to the action as possible. 

Intelligently combining live and video-on-demand (VOD) content with detailed data and statistics, DIVA increases value and helps to promote user engagement. DIVA's video player transforms how audiences watch and interact with content.

Features include synchronized data panels, social media integrations, interactive timeline, virtual reality and 360° videos, alternate audio tracks, subtitles and captioning, video casting, alternate streams, native Picture-in-Picture, commentary, and much more.

DIVA allows users to have complete control over their viewing experience, enabling them to watch and review their favorite moments in high definition, resulting in a distinctive and exceptional way of watching. Users can also view real-time data alongside the live action, create a personalized highlight reel, effortlessly revisit important moments, and seamlessly return to the live event.

Due to DIVA’s extensive feature set, project customizations and business logic are required. It’s a solution that’s scalable, easy to deploy, and available in multiple configurations.

DIVA Platform ecosystem

DIVA is made up of three key components, DIVA Workflow, DIVA Back Office, and DIVA Video Player.

DIVA Workflow

DIVA Workflow provides an end-to-end video playback solution. This is the initial stage for each project and is managed by Deltatre Project teams who work closely with clients and their specific needs. DIVA Back Office

DIVA Back Office is a video Content Management System (CMS) offering three main services:

• Video CMS — create and manage your own full live and VOD video catalog.

• Live-to-VOD transition — DIVA Back Office provides the orchestration of the Live-to-VOD workflow at the end of a live session.

• Data integration — integrate data into a video stream such as timeline markers, chapters, and commentary into DIVA Back Office.

DIVA Video Player

DIVA Player is the front-end video player supporting video, data, and rich user interactivity. Providing Playback features, Content discovery, Synchronization features, Integrations, Content protection, and Advertisements. Key features include real-time data visualization, interactive and alternate timelines, data panels, commentary, fan engagement features, monetization support, multi-camera viewing, and 360° videos.

The video player sits inside applications and is launched upon a video stream selection. DIVA's unique interface takes control of the screen from the launch point, where video features are accessed.

Supported Cloud providers

DIVA clients are no longer bound by a single Cloud provider. Choose between deploying with Amazon Web Services (AWS), an infrastructure and hosting partner (supported from June '22), or Azure Media Services (AMS), a Microsoft Cloud Provider.
