VESPER Participant

Prev Next

Introduction

Participants in FORGE are references to VESPER Participants. The Participants provide end users with quick access to information about individuals involved in the content they watch, such as players.

The Participant-specific fields are:

  • Participants Id (Read-only): The unique identifier of the VESPER Participant.

  • Description: The Participant’s description as it is imported from VESPER. When edited, this field is no longer synchronized with Vesper.

Where do I find Participants?

Expand the left menu by selecting the expand button on top. Then, scroll to find the VESPER Participant item.

Vesper to FORGE synchronization

Vesper is the source of truth for Participants.

When VESPER Video Participants are created or modified in VESPER, the changes are automatically propagated to the corresponding FORGE entities.

When you modify the editable fields of a Participant, the changes are not propagated back to Vesper. If you edit the Description, this field is no longer synchronized with the corresponding field in the VESPER Video Participant.

How to restore the synchronization

By setting the same value as the field (e.g., Description) has in VESPER, you can restore the VESPER-to-FORGE synchronization.

Can I create a Participant in FORGE?

No. The Participant entity in FORGE is a reference to the VESPER Video Participant.

How to manage Participants

Participant are attributes of VESPER Live Event Videos.
