VESPER VODs

Introduction

Vesper video on demands (VODs) in FORGE are references to VESPER VODs.

The VOD-specific fields are:

• Video ID (read-only): Unique identifier of the video within VESPER.

• Description: Short description of the video.

• Long description: Extended description providing more detailed information about the video.

• Video duration (read-only): Total duration of the video.

• Max height (read-only): Maximum supported height (resolution) of the video.

• Geo restriction type (read-only): Type of geo restriction applied to the video. Allowed values: BLACKLIST and WHITELIST.

• Geo restriction countries (read-only): List of countries used to enforce the geo restriction rules.

Where do I find VODs?

Expand the left menu by selecting the expand button on top. Then, scroll to find the Vesper VOD Video item.

Vesper to FORGE synchronization

Vesper is the source of truth for VODs.

When VESPER VODs are created or modified in VESPER, the changes are automatically propagated to the corresponding FORGE entities.

When you modify the title or editable fields, the changes are not propagated back to VESPER. For example, if you edit the Description, this field is no longer synchronized with the corresponding field in the VESPER VODs.

How to restore the synchronization

By setting the same value as the field (e.g., Description) has in VESPER, you can restore the VESPER-to-FORGE synchronization.

Can I create a VOD in FORGE?

No. The VOD entity in FORGE is a reference to the VESPER VODs.

Can I publish a VOD?

You can publish a VOD depending on the Vesper workflow:
