Why AXIS 10 matters
AXIS is used for complex OTT services that require bespoke front ends, advanced integrations, personalization, native applications, and enterprise-grade performance. AXIS 10 strengthens that foundation by modernizing the way the platform is built, deployed, and evolved over time.

What’s new in AXIS 10
AXIS 10 introduces a containerized, microservices-based, cloud-neutral architecture. It uses Kubernetes-based deployment, versioned APIs, domain-driven design, and an asynchronous event-driven approach to improve scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
The platform also removes or phases out legacy components, including older ISL, ESB, and Rocket elements. AXIS Core engines are no longer forkable, helping preserve upgradeability across customers and reduce long-term divergence.
Alongside the platform changes, AXIS 10 improves the operator experience with new features, clearer workflows, updated item states, improved save and publish feedback, and better support for theming and content presentation.
Operator and user experience improvements
AXIS 10 gives operators more flexibility in how content is presented. Row and page flexibility support richer layouts across a wider range of page types, while centralized theming helps teams manage Global, Asset, and Page themes more consistently.
End-user journeys also benefit from improvements such as reverse play order for shows, smoother Continue Watching behavior when episode numbers are missing, updated frameworks that support performance, and the inclusion of the sitemap in SEO.

Important lifecycle note
Amazon Pinpoint support is discontinued following Amazon’s retirement of the service. Mobile push notifications with Pinpoint are removed from AXIS 10 onwards, while existing customers retain access until October 2026. Alternative Push Notifications implementations can be accommodated via bespoke service integrations in AXIS 10.
