When creating a Global Offer, the workflow is as follows:
Create a new global offer in RULES > Global Offers
Update the metadata
Create and save one or more new offers
Save and publish the Global offer
Navigating to Global Offers
Under RULES, select Global Offers. This lists all the existing Global Offers.

Note: These Global Offers can, like other objects in Presentation Manager, be in a state of Draft (white marker), Live (green marker), Live/Unpublished Changes (orange marker), or Archived (gray marker).
From here, you can create a new Global offer, open an existing Global offer for viewing and editing, or change the status of an existing offer.
To create a new Global Offer
Select New Offer - it is opened with the Metadata tab on the left-hand side selected automatically.
The Title is “New Global Offer” by default - update this to reflect the use of the offer. This field is mandatory.
You can also select the Specify absolute dates for offer template period checkbox if required. This is not a mandatory field. If it is selected, date selectors for the start and end of the period are displayed, and are mandatory.

Once the Metadata side tab has been updated, select the Offers side tab.
Once a Global Offer has had all required offers added to it, select Save and Publish to save and publish the complete Global offer.
To view or edit an existing Global Offer
Search for or scroll to an existing Global Offer. Select the Title to open it.
From here you have access to the two side tabs: Metadata and Offers.
Select Save and Publish to save and publish the changes to the Global offer. Navigating away from the Global offer loses any changes.
Compatibility notes: From AXIS Presentation Manager 10.0 onwards, the Call-to-action functions are as follows. They work in a consistent way across Presentation Manager.
To Save or Publish
The following buttons are available to save, or save and publish:
Save X (where X is the name of the side tab currently open) - this saves the content of the currently open side tab, but does not publish it. It is available when any changes have been made to the content of that side tab.
Note: In Pages, this button is entitled Save Variants. It saves all the variants in the Content side tab.
Save and Publish - any new changes across the entire object are saved, and the whole object is published to make it visible to your end-users to view and interact with. It is available when there are any saved or unsaved changes, which have not been published, in the content of any of the side tabs.

To Unpublish, Archive or Delete
Within the More drop down list are further options:
Unpublish - this removes the object from publication, so your end-users can no longer view and interact with it, and puts it back into a status of Draft.
Archive - this puts the object into a status of Archived, which prevents any further use, although it can still be viewed. Note that if this is actioned while an object is in a status of Live, it is automatically unpublished.
Delete - this completely removes the object from the system. It is only available in Pages.
Note: To check the success of selecting any of these options, the header includes the updated status of the object. See The header and status for details of the resulting status after taking any action, and what the header looks like in AXIS Presentation Manager 10.0.
The Offers side tab
Within the Offers side tab, you can add all the individual offers that are applicable for the Global offer. These are the offers that are applied to assets.
There are four types of offer that can be added to a Global offer: Free, Subscription, Purchases and Rental. Each section displays any offers that already exist, and a link entitled Add a new X offer which opens a new, blank, Offer Details page.
You can also view offers that have already been added to the Global offer by selecting them.
The Offer details page
When creating a new offer, the Offer details page is blank. If you open an existing offer to view or edit it, the functionality is the same, although some options cannot be updated, so they are read only.
The first section identifies the offer:
Title - this is a mandatory field. It is recommended that it is the same as the label, unless there is good reason to make it different.
Label - this should be unique to the offer. It is important that it is clear and descriptive as it is listed on the assets that the offer can be applied to. It is therefore a mandatory field.

The second section, Who is this offer for?, is where you can specify who the offer applies to:
Users - select from the dropdown list which user type this offer will apply to. This defaults to Any User, and while it is not mandatory to change it, you cannot make it blank as the offer needs to know who will be able to access the content the offer is applied to.
Segmentation tags - apply any segmentation tags to further streamline to whom this offer will be made available.

In the third section, What are the details of this offer?, select from the following to give detail to the offer:
Asset Types - add all the asset types that will be able to utilise the offer. Once an offer is saved with these set, it will be only within these asset types that the offer will be available to add. This is read-only when editing.
Delivery Type - choose from between Stream and Stream & Download to specify how assets linked to the offer can be delivered to user devices. This is read-only when editing.
Video Quality - choose from the selected video quality options to specify what quality the recipients of this offer will be entitled to.

The fourth section, When does this offer apply?, enables you to specify a time limit or window in which the offer will apply:
Start/End - for both the start and the end date of the offer, you can either select an absolute date, or a relative date which, depending on the option selected, will take the date from the appropriate metadata from the asset. Relative dates can also be offset.

An example of a relative date would be selecting ‘Theatrical Release End’ - the offer would read the asset metadata for when the theatrical release of an asset with this offer applied was due to end, plus an offset of 1 day, which would make the asset available under this offer 24 hours after the theatrical release ended.
