Overview

The FORGE Q1 2026 release introduces enhancements across Content Manager, Page Builder, and the wider FORGE ecosystem, focusing on usability, governance, and operational efficiency.

The Content Manager improves the editorial experience with direct entity import when relating an entity to another, editing rollback with version history, and near-live collaboration that shows who is editing the same entity and fields. UI localization allows teams to work in their preferred language.

In the Page Builder, alias export and import across environments simplify the test, validation, and launch of new sections of the digital value proposition. Expanded permission controls, template-level authorization groups, and the new Asset Explorer dashboard improve governance and visibility.

The release also introduces a redesigned login experience aligned with the Content Manager and Page Builder UI.

Content Manager

Upgrade impact

Upgrading to the latest version of the Content Manager is transparent, with no additional steps or concerns to keep in mind.

Importing content when relating entities

Editors can now import entities directly while relating entities. For instance, when adding photos to an album, editors can begin the photo import workflow right from the search modal and add photos directly to the album.

Editing rollback

Crafting great content goes through many versions of the same entity (e.g., stories or albums). When needed, accessing the many versions in a detailed history list helps select the best version to recover. Now, the Content Manager provides editors with this valuable facility.

Collaboration

When content is a collective result, visualizing which colleagues are working on the same entity fosters efficiency and collaboration. Now, the pages being edited display the editors modifying the same page and the entity fields they edit.

UI localization

When the authoring environment speaks the language of editors, the editorial experience becomes smoother and more efficient. For this reason, now the Content Manager allows localizing its UI.

Small changes — but still important

  • Long titles are now fully displayed (up to 3 lines) on entity detail pages.

  • New visual hints on main navigation menu to expand and collapse options.

  • Added possibility to view and reset user preferences from the user profile page — for more information see User profile.

  • Editors can create new entities (e.g., albums) while adding story parts.

  • In the entity edit page, related items and reference fields now display also the thumbnail.

  • Buttons to split story parts and texts are now easier to reach in small screen.

Page Builder

Upgrade impact

Upgrading to the latest version of the Page Builder is transparent, with no additional steps or concerns to keep in mind.

Page alias import and export

Aliases improve page discoverability and support SEO. Also, they are crucial to decouple the public URLs from the internal site structure.

Now, once page aliases are validated in a non-production environment, operators and editors can export them — for the entire site structure — and make the changes available in production, via the import workflow. This process reduces human errors and makes the editorial workflow more efficient.

More control over asset permissions

On the Permission page, on top of the authorization group list, a new search bar allows entering the user name and listing the authorization groups that user is in. This makes it smooth to check user’s authorization groups.

Also, administrators can now assign authorization groups to templates. This filters which templates editors can select based on the authorization groups they are in.

Find more information in Manage Authorization Groups.

Exploring asset usage

A new “Asset Explorer” dashboard allows authorized users to explore the page type and status of the pages in which assets (templates, layouts, and modules) are located. This helps keep control over assets and mitigate risks when updating them.

Find more information in Asset explorer dashboard.

Small changes — but still important

  • When editing a page, editors can set the layout labels

  • Quicker module management within page layout

  • Optimized size of the editing page elements

  • When adding modules to layouts, hovering over a layout displays the layout name

  • New administrative panel to execute maintenance tasks
